Chris has been handed the responsibility of overseeing the youth set-ups for both the Men & Women’s side of the Club, as well as assisting in leading the support to our wider community provision.
Bringing over 25 years of experience in professional football and education, Jones has previously held roles at Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea FC’s Football College Programme, and The FA as a Coach Developer for both UEFA C and B licences.
As well as overseeing all Boys and Girls youth teams, including the restructured Women’s Academy System which has seen the introduction of a new U18s and U14s squad, Chris will also provide mentoring to help develop our existing youth coaches.
Chris adds to the growing team at Woodside Road and will support Sporting Director Nathan Bowen and Pathways Manager Stuart Evans in ensuring the future of our club is meticulously nurtured.
On his appointment, Chris Jones stated: “I am grateful and happy to start this role at Worthing FC. I am so excited to work with all of the coaches and continue to develop the already established pathway that the club has built over the years.
“Worthing FC is a club that has continually led the way in progression, whilst still giving opportunities to the best young players in Sussex to play First-Team football. As we continue to grow as a Club, the importance of our youth teams will continue to grow as well and remains a core part of our focus.”
