
Following his release from Championship outfit Wrexham in the summer, the young shot-stopper has been building his experience in senior football in the Southern League Premier Division South with Basingstoke.
Standing at 6’4 tall, the new Reds ‘keeper migrated across the Irish Sea from his homeland in 2024 with a move to Tranmere Rovers, after impressing with stints at Athlone Town, Galway Academy and LFC Academy as a teenager.
A ten month spell at Wrexham ensued, with Egan involved in the first-team set-up at The Racecourse Ground.
With Harrison Foulkes still on the sidelines as he continues his recovery from the torn bicep sustained in the 1-0 win over Wealdstone in August, Egan has arrived to provide some depth in between the sticks.
The 21-year-old is available for selection for this afternoon’s Enterprise National League match against Solihull Moors and has been handed the number 33 shirt.
