As we head into the fifth tier for the first time in the Club’s history, there has been a few alterations to Adam Hinshelwood’s backroom staff as we prepare to embark on a new era at the Sussex Transport Community Stadium.
Firstly, the Club can confirm that Jon Meeney will continue his role as Assistant Manager, working alongside ‘Hinsh’ for another season. After rejoining the Rebels in October 2025 following the appointment of Hinshelwood, the 36-year-old played an integral part of our promotion-winning campaign.
Widely-regarded as one of the most promising young coaches in the county, Jon has previously been employed at the likes of Horsham, Hastings United, Eastbourne Borough and Sutton United.
Crucially, Jon has knowledge of the National League, having recently competed in the division while with the latter.
Goalkeeping Coach John Keeley will also remain at Woodside for another campaign, with his coaching experience a valuable asset to our shot-stoppers in West Sussex.
‘Keelo’ is enjoying his second stint with the Reds and has almost five decades of involvement in professional football as a player and a coach. The 65-year-old has mentored several high-profile goalkeepers during his career, including Champions League Finalist David Raya while with Blackburn Rovers and former England Number One David James at Portsmouth.
John will continue to monitor the progress and development of Taylor Seymour, including keeping an eye on the prospects in our academy.
We can confirm that First-Team Coach Cam Morrison has departed this summer and will not be returning for the 2026/27 campaign.
As a member of the coaching staff, Cam contributed to an historic title-winning season with the Rebels last season during his second spell the Club.
He returned to the backroom team in January, reuniting with Manager Adam Hinshelwood after the pair worked together for numerous years at Woodside Road and York City.
Cam first began working with the Rebels as a young coach a decade ago and during his first spell in West Sussex – stretching eight years – helped achieve several successes. Sat alongside Hinshelwood in the dugout, the Reds clinched the Isthmian Premier Division title and lifted Sussex Transport Senior Cup in his first stint before helping claim the National League South trophy a few months ago shortly after his return.
Away from First-Team duties, Cam has also assisted with our Development Centre and Women’s team throughout the years.
The Club would like to place on record our appreciation for Cam’s dedication and work during his time at Woodside and wish him the best for his future endeavours.
Elsewhere, our Medical Team will continue their work for another season, lead by our Head of Performance & Medical, Matt Miller and Lead Sports Therapist, Olly Hills. The duo’s tireless efforts last campaign undoubtedly played huge contributing factor to the eventual league triumph, with the availability and fitness of the players throughout the season a key detail to claiming the league title. They will be assisted by a host of voluntary interns that will be aiming to hone their skills in a professional environment alongside their studies.
The Club is delighted to announce last season’s Lead Analyst Jamie Brooks, will continue his work in a Full-Time capacity. On a placement year from the University of Derby, ‘Brooksy’ initially worked under Chris Agutter before continuing to assist in the tactical side of the game with Adam Hinshelwood and his fellow coaches, analysing opponents, matches and training sessions.
Elsewhere, long-serving Team Assistant Stuart Evans will also occupy a seat in the dugout and will provide a helping hand behind the scenes.
As previously announced, Shan Toms has moved into the role of Football General Manager, extending his time at the Club after two years as our Head of Football Operations.
