Adam Hinshelwood has been operating with almost an entire squad for the pre-season programme, but a few faces have been missing from training and line-ups due to various injuries.
Our first signing of the summer, Noor Husin, has continued to progress on his rehabilitation programme from the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury he sustained in September 2025 while still at Southend United.
Head of Performance & Medical, Matt Miller, commented: “The focus has been on improving his range of movement along with the strength and stability in the treatment room. Noor is now moving into the functional stage of his rehab on the pitch and he is been an absolute pleasure to work with.”
Fellow midfielder Matt Burgess has also stepped up his recovery since his operation on an ankle injury in the latter stages of last season. His condition is being closely monitored to ensure he returns as quickly and safely as possible, with a return to pitch-based functional rehabilitation before the end of the month.
Unfortunately, summer acquisition Tyrique Clarke suffered a fractured leg earlier this month after an innocuous collision during training. The former Slough Town player is expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks as he recovers from the injury.
Finally, Queens Park Rangers loanee Harvey Boddy will be unavailable to play against his parent club after suffering a concussion during the thrilling nine-goal friendly victory our U21s produced over Brighton U18s last weekend.
As part of the recently introduced FA concussion protocols, the 17-year-old was sidelined for three weeks. The midfielder has successfully moved into the second week of recovery and has participated in non-contact pitch-based specific drills.
Once he has completed the protocol safely, Boddy will be filtered back into full first-team training.
