The 18-year-old made six competitive appearances for the Reds, which included scoring the winner in the 1-0 victory against Wealdstone in August. Helping us to our first three point haul in the top tier of Non-League, the teenager rifled a rasping half-volley into the net which proved to be the difference at Woodside Road. The strike was subsequently publicly voted as the Club’s Goal of the Month for August, with over 50% of the vote.
After scoring in his unofficial debut for the Rebels in July’s 2-1 pre-season victory over Brighton & Hove Albion just a day after his arrival was announced, Carter started for his temporary side on the opening day triumph over Carlisle United in the Club’s first-ever match in the fifth tier of English football.
