Melis first ventured into women’s football at 16 with Steyning Town, while also representing BHASVIC in college football. She then moved to Saltdean United for the 2022/23 season before taking the opportunity to play football in the US, where she spent 18 months at Thomas University in Georgia.
After returning to the UK, she rejoined Saltdean for the remainder of the season before moving back to Steyning a year ago, where she was the 2025/26 Players’ Player of the Season.
Reflecting on her arrival at Woodside, she stated, “I’ve always wanted to challenge myself and take the next step in my career, and Worthing has always been a club that really appealed to me. I’m excited to see what I can achieve here and to be part of the team.”

Melis has been involved in both fixtures at Woodside Road this pre-season already, drawing on her range of experience, internationally and locally in Sussex, to aid Jesus Cordon’s squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
