Approaching the age of 30, Paige Baker-Carroll has decided to recommit to football, making her one of numerous summer additions to Jesus Cordon’s side.
The goalscorer came to football a little later than most, but by 15, after years of winning Golden Boot awards in Sunday league, a friend suggested they trial for Brighton & Hove Albion. Paige went along expecting nothing more than a fun day out, but to her surprise, she was offered a place in the squad instantly.
Jumping from Sunday league wasn’t easy, but if there’s one thing Paige is, it’s resilient. She soon felt at home at Brighton, playing in the Gothia Youth World Cup with the Seagulls, where she was named Player of the Tournament and the top goalscorer. On her return, she began training with the first team.
At the top of her game, Paige left BHAFC, drawn by another passion in her life: performing. She went on to attend a renowned drama school in London, and remains very happy with that choice.
Upon signing for the Rebels, Baker-Carroll said, “It’s been a while, but I’m only just getting started again. I already feel like I am getting back up to speed with the pace of the game.”

Known for her strength and being two-footed, she’s ready to put in the hard work and get back to her goal-scoring ways.
The striker has been thrust into action at Woodside Road this pre-season, starting both of our friendlies against Southampton Women’s FC and AFC Portchester Ladies as someone clearly at the forefront of Cordon’s plans.
Excited to have you here, Paige!
