In response to feedback from supporters and clubs, DAZN and the National League announced every live pick until the end of January, to give supporters ample time to prepare for the changes in kick-off and how that may affect travel arrangements.
As things stand, over 30 of the Reds’ National League matches will be broadcasted live. During international breaks, the 3pm Blackout Rule that prevents matches that kick off at that specific time slot on a Saturday afternoon doesn’t apply. The first two matchweeks fall before the start of the Premier League campaign and are being treated as an international break window would.
As such, our tantalising curtain raiser away to Carlisle United on Saturday 8 August and our first ever home match in the National League against Forest Green Rovers on the following Saturday will be both be available to watch live.
Our second contest of the campaign at the Sussex Transport Community Stadium against Wealdstone on Saturday 22 August has been moved to a 12:30pm kick-off to accommodate broadcast, while our following games over the Bank Holiday weekend away to Tamworth (Friday 28 August (19:45pm KO) and at home to Boreham Wood on the following Monday (3pm KO) will also be available to watch on DAZN.
In September, only our trip to AFC Fylde on the first weekend of the month will be unable to be live streamed due to the blackout rule. Kick-off for our tussle with Barrow on home soil has been set for 12:30 on Saturday 12 September, while our Tuesday night encounter with fellow former National League South side at Hornchurch under the lights on the 15th can be streamed.
It’s an early start away to Hartlepool United, as Adam Hinshelwood and his players tackle the challenge the Pools will pose at lunchtime on Saturday 19 September.
Our home battle with FC Halifax Town and away trip to Gateshead can be streamed despite starting at 3pm on Saturday 26 September and Saturday 3 October, as the Blackout Rule doesn’t apply to international breaks. Sandwiched in between those meetings is a midweek journey to Yeovil that will also be available to watch live.
In October, the Reds welcome Solihull Moors and Sutton United on Saturday afternoons, which is unable to be streamed. Our away clash to Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday 24 October has been altered to an evening kick-off (17:30PM) to allow DAZN to show the showdown at Aggborough. The following Tuesday, Southend United visit Sussex Transport Community Stadium during midweek, with the television cameras also in town.
Two of our four scheduled league matches in November will be broadcasted, as we visit former EFL outfit Scunthorpe United on the 14 November (3pm) and Woking away on a Tuesday night (24th).
Over the festive period, Adam Hinshelwood’s side have four successive matches broadcasted live, concluding with Monday 28 December’s hosting of Aldershot Town at Woodside Road.
All fixtures and kick-off timings are subject to change. Selections for the second half of the season will be confirmed in due course.
