Jenni Wren Parenting
Unwrapped

For our latest Independent Worthing: Unwrapped feature, we meet Jenni of Jenni Wren Parenting.
Jenni's work is centred around offering holistic support and empowerment to parents, enabling children and families to thrive. She is a trained CalmFamily consultant, qualified in both BabyCalm and ToddlerCalm.
Jenni is really passionate about helping families, and believes every parent is the expert to their own children.
Jenni offers one to one consultations in areas such as sleep, behaviour, newborns and weaning/eating.
We love Jenni's passion for helping families and advocating for children, and so we thought it would be great to find out a little more about her....
IW: What inspired you to start your own business?
JW: My children. My children are the reason I do what I do. When we had our first child in the summer of 2016 I had some huge realisations. These realisations led me to learn about how much our environment shapes who we are as adults. I’ve learnt so much along the way and know more about myself than I ever have done. I want to be able to share my passion with as many people as possible and to help them on their parenting journeys, as I know how challenging raising children can be.
IW: What is the best thing about what you do?
JW: Helping families to build calmer relationships and seeing how the smallest change can make a huge difference to their lives.
IW: What pearl of wisdom would you impart to anyone wanting to set up their own business?
JW: Take things step by step and don’t be put off by all the nitty gritty stuff. Follow your heart.
IW: What are your ‘go to’ local businesses?
JW: We’re big fans of Haskins Garden Centre. We don’t own a garden so we daydream about what our dream garden would look like and then enjoy a yummy cake and coffee from the café. It’s also AMAZING at Christmas time with all the decorations up and the kids love it too.
IW: What do you get up to in your spare time?
JW:
- Going for walks in nature (especially the beach or woods) and foraging for food or seaglass
- Reading parenting, biology and self help books
- Watching YouTube videos & listening to podcasts
- Crafting - my latest craft was a large macrame wall hanging
- Playing video and board games
- Spending time with my family
IW: What’s your guilty pleasure?
JW: Devouring a foot long swiss roll in one sitting...
IW: What’s your favourite way to start the day?
JW: A big family cuddle in our super king size bed, bliss. It’s the small things in life.
IW: If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things could you not do without?
JW: My family, my bed and a supermarket (does that count?)
IW: What plans do you have for the future?
JW: No plans set in stone, however, I would love to do more training to broaden my knowledge and sign up to the holistic sleep coaching program.
IW: Anything else you would like to add?
JW: A big thank you for giving me the opportunity to take part in the Unwrapped series. I think it is so important to support local businesses and hopefully this will give myself and others who have taken part a few moments in the spotlight. If you’ve got this far and would like to chat more about any of the services I offer please do not hesitate to get in touch.
