The Festive Cut: A Winter Collage Workshop
Everything you need for the workshop will be provided. If there’s something special you’d like to include in your collage, please feel free to bring it along. You’re also welcome to bring your favourite scissors, although a selection will be available.
Festive biscuits will be provided. You’re welcome to bring your own drinks in secure containers. The Hummingbird café is inside the Main Terminal Building, and Cafe No.8 is on Cecil Pashley Way, both at Brighton City Airport.
Brighton City Airport is an Art Deco listed buidling and there there is no lift access to the Avro Suite which is on the first floor of the main terminal. Unfortunately this means that the space isn’t suitable for wheelchair users or anyone unable to use the stairs.
Brighton City Airport has pay-and-display parking.
Shoreham-by-Sea train station is around a 25-minute walk from Brighton City Airport. The No. The 700 bus runs between Worthing and Brighton and stops nearby.
The Avro Suite can accommodate up to 12 participants, so advance booking is needed to secure your place.
Dive into a treasure trove of festive materials, including vintage Christmas cards, postage stamps and decorative papers. Learn how to cut, layer and combine them to create your own unique winter-themed artwork.
All materials are provided, so simply bring your imagination and enjoy two hours of festive making in the beautiful setting of Brighton City Airport.
You’ll leave with an original collage, ready to mount and frame — perfect to keep for yourself or give as a special Christmas gift.
Sam will also share simple instructions for reproducing your artwork, so you can turn your collage into Christmas cards for all your friends and family this year.
And there’s more! Your ticket includes a chance to win an original collage made specially for the event by Sam - a unique festive artwork to take home and treasure.
Come along, get cutting, and create something wonderful this winter!
